Room04 - Vitti Design
My name is Tímea Torma, and my brand is Vitti Design. I create jewelry from tree bark, which is entirely unique and not made by anyone else but me. I crafted the first piece in 2020. Although I only worked as a goldsmith for a few years, jewelry and creativity have always played an important role in my life. I enjoyed experimenting with new materials and techniques, but it was when I started making tree bark jewelry that I truly felt I had found my calling. Just as shells and pebbles are treasures of nature, so are tree barks to me. Their irregular shapes and small cracks, which I highlight with paint, make their uniqueness more visible. I kept the first piece for a long time, then I started to see its colors, and since then, I rarely deviate from the turquoise-gold-bronze combination.
They don't come together quickly, as I rarely find beautiful pieces to begin with, but even the search is part of the process. After that comes cleaning, drying, treatment, painting, or even decorating with lace. Since mid-June, I have been present in the Iconic Showroom Bp (Room 04) at Paloma Artspace, where you can personally view my jewelry.
