Room13 - Mushroom Lamps

I am Hanna, 19 years old, and I have been creating my Mushroom Lamps since 2022.

Initially, I made the lamps alongside my high school studies, but after graduating successfully, I decided to dedicate a full year solely to the Mushroom Lamps in the summer of 2023. And so I did! In less than a year, I crafted hundreds of lamps for orders and markets. Fortunately, my lamps always find loving homes, which makes me very happy. Currently, there is at least one Mushroom Lamp on every continent, and in January, I was interviewed by the weekly magazine Szabad Föld.

The Mushroom Lamps are entirely handmade. I surround the carefully, individually handcrafted mushrooms with live moss, usually placing them on wooden logs. These logs are fitted with a logo-embroidered upholstery base, which I also embroider. Starting January, all Mushroom Lamps come with built-in switches, hiding the electronic parts. I personally carve the holes into the wood for this. The mushrooms are illuminated with LED bulbs and powered by batteries. The wood is treated with ozone, making it free from pests and chemicals. Moss is a low-maintenance plant, primarily deriving moisture from the air’s humidity, but it can occasionally be misted. Each lamp comes with a user manual where I aim to answer all questions.

My products are available in various price ranges so that everyone can find the perfect piece. Custom Mushroom Lamps are also made upon request, and they are available for rent. I am also happy to create lamps on a provided base to make them even closer to your heart and home!
