Naturally, darling!

We brought BARKA to life. We, the sisters. After growing up as blood sisters, raising children, navigating life careers side by side, we remained sisters and discovered others around us. BARKA didn't come to life because it was so obvious that we were preparing for this through English studies, international business, preschool training, office management, bartending, mommy yoga, child-rearing, or embarking on self-sufficient farming adventures. It came to life because we needed clothes that we could wear with a good conscience. Clothes not tainted by human or environmental suffering. Clothes that radiate kindness and playfulness and say, "Don't take yourself too seriously for a while!"

DESIGN
Design is when we dream together and go from the feeling that anything is possible to the decision of this-is-what-we-want most.

MATERIAL PROCUREMENT
Material procurement is when we seek out the most sustainable options.

CUTTING
Cutting is when we plan how to use even the leftover fabric.

SEWING
Sewing happens in Hajni's one-person sewing workshop in Hungary.

STAMPING
Stamping is our way to avoid the environmental burden of producing additional labels.

PACKAGING
Packaging is done using paper bags or reused boxes whenever possible.
