Room01 - Mandalam

I am Kriszta Parádi. I completed my studies in the Master's program in Graphic Design and Typography at the Hungarian University of Applied Arts (now MOME) and have since worked as an advertising graphic designer.

After a ten-year modeling career, yoga and meditation directed my attention towards Buddhism. My interest focuses on self-awareness, finding inner and outer balance, and peace.

In Christmas 2014, I had the idea to create personal gifts from monograms. What started as an experiment turned into unique digital graphics based on letters, numbers, and simple symbols. By rotating, multiplying, and mirroring these elements, I created images that resonate with the owner's feelings and focus, resembling mandalas. I named this visual style Mandalám®. Designing these images is a process that is both conscious and subconscious. Over the years, I have created more than 120 personalized mandala-like images.

In addition to personal mandala images, I also design patterns. Some patterns are developed from mandalas focused on a thought or feeling, while others are elaborations of small details. Countless variations can be born from a tiny fragment. These patterns continually renew, evolve, and expand with new designs over the years.

Collaborating with Hungarian designers and manufacturers, a growing number of products featuring these printed patterns have been brought to market, including bags, stationery, home decor, and chairs.
